Mr. Panchalingam Kandiah, on behalf of Canadian Tamil Congress met Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Minister of Justice and handed over a letter of Canadian Tamil Congress thanking the Sri Lankan government for delisting the organization enabling it to take part in the reconciliation process. While commending for the right direction of the government to enhance peace and reconciliation process, they have emphasized the steps to be taken on urgent basis with a view of establishing a long-lasting harmony and to recognize and respect the Sri Lankan identity.

The Minister assured that all Sri Lankans will be treated in equal and indiscriminatory manner while accommodating all diaspora people to have platform to initiate and develop their business activities in a preferred area.

The Minister also commended for the funding for medical requirements of the government hospitals in Northern, Eastern and Western provinces recently by Canadian Tamil Congress. He urges the President Mr. Sival Illango and Executive Director Mr. Danton Thurairajah of Canadian Tamil Congress to visit Sri Lanka for the purpose of enhancing the relations and affiliation with all Sri Lankans for future prosperity.
