The opening of the Kuchchaveli Tourist Magistrate’s Court Building, the Vakarai Tourist Magistrate’s Court Building, and the Valachchenai Court Complex was held this morning (27) at the Ministry of Justice and National Integration via Zoom technology, under the patronage of the Minister of Justice and National Integration, Attorney-at-Law, Harshana Nanayakkara.
Simultaneously, ceremonial proceedings were conducted at the respective court premises in Kuchchaveli, Vakarai, and Valachchenai.
Trincomalee High Court Judge N.M.N. Abdullah and other esteemed members of the judiciary participated in the opening of the Kuchchaveli and Vakarai Tourist Magistrate’s Court Buildings.
The opening ceremony of the Valachchenai Court Complex was held under the patronage of Batticaloa High Court Judge T.J. Prabhakaran, with the participation of other High Court, District Court, and Magistrate’s Court Judges.
Lawyers, court staff, and government officials attended the ceremonies held at the respective court premises. The Secretary to the Ministry of Justice and National Integration, President’s Counsel Ms. Ayesha Jinasena, along with other senior officials of the Ministry, joined the event virtually from the Ministry via Zoom.
